ABU DHABI, UAE — Seychelles President Dr. Patrick Herminie met with His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, today on his first international mission since taking office, committing to a new chapter of elevated cooperation between the island nation and the Gulf power.
The official visit, extended at the invitation of the UAE President, was designed to strengthen the “robust friendship and cooperation” that has long existed between the two nations, officials said. The meeting also served to establish a “strong personal connection” between the two leaders, according to a joint statement.
