MLADÁ BOLESLAV, Czech Republic — Škoda Auto announced Tuesday that its upcoming fully electric seven-seater flagship model will be named “Peaq,” signaling a new chapter in the brand’s electric vehicle expansion.
The new model, which is set to celebrate its world premiere in summer 2026, will occupy the top position in the Czech manufacturer’s portfolio. The Peaq is the production realization of the Vision 7S concept car first introduced in 2022, which showcased the brand’s “Modern Solid” design language.
Company officials stated the vehicle is designed to appeal to both modern families and “everyday explorers” by focusing on spaciousness and practical utility.
“With the Vision 7S, we entered new territory for Škoda, with a clear idea of how to elevate the brand,” said Martin Jahn, Škoda Auto Board Member for Sales and Marketing. “Our new flagship model takes our brand values of spaciousness and practicality to a whole new level”.
The Peaq represents a milestone in Škoda’s strategy to expand its electric model range while maintaining core brand values of comfort and user-friendly “Simply Clever” solutions. The interior will feature seven seats, targeting users who need to balance work, leisure, and travel.
Jahn described the name as a definitive marker for the company’s future direction. “As of today, our bold vision for Škoda’s electric future has a name: Peaq — a clear statement of where this model belongs in our portfolio,” he said.
The announcement comes as Škoda continues to navigate a decade-long strategy aiming to become one of the top three best-selling brands in Europe by 2030 through a mix of battery-electric, hybrid, and internal combustion engine products.
Further technical details and specifications are expected to be released closer to the vehicle’s official debut in 2026.
