MOSCOW — Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has named his starting lineup for Nigeria’s international friendly clash against Russia, set to kick off at 6:00 p.m. Nigeria time at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow.
Maduka Okoye, the Udinese goalkeeper, will start between the posts ahead of Amas Obasogie.
The defensive line features Bright Osayi-Samuel, Bruno Onyemaechi, captain William Troost-Ekong, and Semi Ajayi.
In midfield, Chelle has opted for a trio of Raphael Onyedika, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, and Christantus Uche to control the tempo.
Leading the attack is Genk striker Tolu Arokodare, supported on the flanks by Moses Simon and Victor Boniface.
“We’re looking to test our depth and give some players the opportunity to prove themselves,” Chelle said ahead of the match. “It’s also about building chemistry and assessing options for future competitions.”
The fixture is part of Nigeria’s ongoing preparations for upcoming qualifiers and tournaments, with Chelle expected to continue experimenting with squad depth and tactical setups.
