ABUJA — President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated three Nigerian students who emerged champions at the 2025 TeenEagle Global Round competition held in London, describing their victories as proof of the brilliance and potential of the country’s youth.
The students—Nafisa Aminu, 17; Rukayya Fema, 15; and Hadiza Kalli—represented Nigeria at the international event showcasing academic excellence and talent.
In a statement issued Wednesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu said, “President Tinubu commends these exceptional young Nigerians for the feat and affirms that the nation’s future is much brighter with many of its youth as repositories of excellence.”
Aminu won the overall excellence prize in English language skills, Fema ranked first in the debate category, and Kalli received the Outstanding Talent Award alongside a gold medal.
The president also extended his praise to the schools that nurtured the winners, saying their accomplishments are “a testament to the quality and potential of Nigeria’s education system as a nurturer of some of the world’s brightest minds.”
Reiterating his administration’s commitment to expanding access to quality education, Tinubu pointed to initiatives such as the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), which is designed to eliminate financial barriers for indigent students.
He encouraged the students to remain focused on their academic journeys and wished them continued success.
