WASHINGTON (CHATNEWSTV) — The U.S. Department of State has designated The Terrorgram Collective, a transnational violent white supremacist group, and three of its leaders as Specially Designated Global Terrorists (SDGTs). The designations, made under Executive Order 13224, target individuals and organizations posing significant threats to U.S. security.
The Terrorgram Collective primarily operates on Telegram, promoting violent extremism and providing materials on how to carry out attacks, including on critical infrastructure and government officials. U.S. officials have linked the group to several attacks, including a 2022 shooting in Slovakia and a planned 2024 attack on energy facilities in New Jersey.
The three leaders named in the designation are Ciro Daniel Amorim Ferreira of Brazil, Noah Licul of Croatia, and Hendrik-Wahl Muller of South Africa. The U.S. government has frozen any U.S.-based assets they hold and prohibited U.S. persons from engaging in transactions with them.
“The designations underscore our commitment to countering the global threat posed by racially or ethnically motivated violent extremists,” said a U.S. State Department spokesperson.
