The government of the United Arab Emirates has granted Air Peace the approval to operate direct flights to Dubai.
This announcement was made by the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace, Festus Keyamo, SAN, at the recently concluded Dubai Airshow.
According to him, Emirates Airlines, which has stopped operations in the country due to its inability to repatriate dollars earned in the country home, also announced its readiness to commence direct flights to Nigeria.
He said the Emirates Airlines’ management disclosed news of its readiness to resume flights to Nigeria at the just-concluded Dubai Airshow.
In addition to these developments, Keyamo also met with the CEO of Airline Executive, Dana Hatcic, to discuss the possibility of establishing an MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) facility in Nigeria. This would be a significant step forward for the Nigerian aviation industry, as it would create jobs and provide essential services for airlines operating in the region.
Keyamo also expressed the possibility of hosting a maiden edition of the Nigeria Air Show in November 2024.
