Ub win FIBA 3×3 World Tour Lausanne 2025

LAUSANNE (Switzerland) – Ub (SRB) continue their win streak, defeating Miami (USA) 21 – 17 to win the FIBA 3×3 World Tour Lausanne 2025 on August 16.

The seemingly unbeatable Serbians were dominant as ever, going perfect all the way from pool play to the final. They defeated Valencia and Lugano in the knockout rounds to book a matchup against Miami who were on a scorching run of their own, staying perfect all the way to the final. They defeated home side Lausanne and Liman in the knockout games to set up a colossal matchup in the final.

Both teams started with a frenetic pace, attacking the paint early to get their points. Miami used their high-flying style to stifle Ub and notch early points while the Serbian side found success in their ball movement. Mitch Hahn took the fight to Ub, imposing himself in the paint while Dr. Strange continued to lead the way for his side.

There was nothing separating the two sides halfway in, with scores at 7 – 7 close to the 5-minute mark. Around this time was when the Serbian juggernauts started to find their range, both Strahinja Stojacic and Nenad Nerandzic hitting deep buckets to hand them a comfortable lead.

Buckets from two-point land started to fall for both sides with scores at 15 – 13 with just over 2-minutes to go. Miami kept hitting back to cut into Ub’s lead but the decisive possessions fell the Serbian side’s way down the stretch.

Dr. Strange would find himself on the free-throw line with the game on the line. He would put it away to hand Ub a monumental fifth stop in a row with a 21 – 17 victory over Miami.

Nemanja Barać was Ub’s unsung hero, playing a pivotal role in their run. His defensive tenacity and physical grit was crucial in grinding down their opposition’s offense. His efforts in the final opened scoring opportunities for Ub time and time again. He was recognised with the MVP award for being the ideal complement to his side.

In the individual contests, Antonio Ralat (Carolina) won the Moto Furia Shoot-Out Contest while Joel ‘The Royal Guard’ Henry won the Holy Cow Dunk Contest.
