KYIV, Ukraine (CHATNEWSTV) — Ukraine and Côte d’Ivoire have agreed to strengthen trade and economic cooperation, advancing discussions initiated by Presidents Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Alassane Ouattara.
Deputy Head of the Ukrainian Presidential Office Ihor Brusylo and Côte d’Ivoire’s Minister of Economy, Planning, and Development Nialé Kaba held an online meeting Wednesday to discuss expanding bilateral ties, Kyiv said in a statement.
Officials from both governments, including Deputy Minister of Economy Taras Kachka and Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Oksana Osmachko, participated in the talks.
The discussions focused on deepening collaboration in agriculture, trade, infrastructure, and education, with an emphasis on training Ivorian students in Ukrainian universities. Côte d’Ivoire signaled its willingness to move forward by initiating direct talks between relevant ministries.
Brusylo and Kaba also explored strengthening the legal framework for trade, which officials said would facilitate long-term economic partnerships.
“Ukraine sees great potential in expanding cooperation with Côte d’Ivoire across multiple sectors,” Brusylo said. “We are committed to implementing practical steps to turn these agreements into action.”
Both sides agreed to outline concrete measures to advance joint projects in the coming months.
