COPENHAGEN (Chatnewstv.com) — Ukraine and U.S.-based Swift Beat, LLC have signed a memorandum to expand the production of unmanned aerial systems for Kyiv’s war effort, Ukrainian officials said Thursday.
The agreement, signed in Denmark in the presence of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, lays the foundation for a long-term strategic partnership aimed at scaling drone manufacturing for the Ukrainian military.
“This is a major step toward strengthening our unmanned capabilities,” said Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, who signed the deal alongside Swift Beat CEO Eric Schmidt. “The focus is on supplying Ukraine with modern drones at cost price and under special terms.”
Under the agreement, Swift Beat will significantly ramp up its production, delivering hundreds of thousands of drones to Ukraine this year alone, with even greater volumes expected in 2026.
The company plans to manufacture interceptor drones designed to target and destroy Russian UAVs and missiles, as well as quadcopters for reconnaissance, surveillance, artillery coordination, and logistics. Medium-class strike drones capable of engaging ground targets are also part of the production pipeline.
Swift Beat will also work on next-generation systems, including cruise and ballistic missile interceptors, automated turrets, and advanced reconnaissance platforms.
Based in the United States, Swift Beat has an established footprint in Ukraine, where it partners with local engineers and military personnel to test and refine AI-powered autonomous drone technologies.
“This collaboration is a testament to our commitment to Ukraine’s defense and innovation,” Schmidt said.
