US Secretary Of State, Antony Blinken Calls President Tinubu

LAGOS, Nigeria, August 15, 2023/ — United secretary of state, Antony Blinken today called president Tinubu.

In a statement released by Spokesperson Matthew Miller and sent to ChatNews TV, it was revealed that Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken engaged in a conversation with Nigerian President Bola Tinubu today. During the conversation, Secretary Blinken expressed his appreciation for President Tinubu’s effective guidance throughout the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Second Extraordinary Summit, which addressed the ongoing situation in the Republic of Niger.

Secretary Blinken underscored the significance of maintaining relentless efforts aimed at pressuring the National Council for the Safeguard of the Homeland (CNSP) to reinstate constitutional governance. He further emphasized the need for the prompt release of President Mohamed Bazoum and his family.
