United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Administrator, Samantha Power is slated to embark on a journey to Tallinn, Estonia on September 7-8, 2023. She will assume a pivotal role as a co-leader of the U.S. delegation participating in the prestigious 2023 Open Government Partnership (OGP) Global Summit. Joining her in this leadership capacity is GSA Administrator Robin Carnahan. The U.S. contingent will also include senior White House representatives, the Department of State, the General Services Administration, and USAID.
As a founding member of the OGP since its formal inception in 2011, the United States continues to exert its influence within this international initiative. Presently, the OGP encompasses an impressive roster of 75 nations and 104 local administrations, collectively representing an astounding demographic exceeding two billion individuals. Furthermore, the OGP boasts extensive participation from an array of civil society organizations.
The forthcoming 2023 OGP Global Summit is poised to emerge as a pivotal event on the international stage. It will bring together notable government leaders and dedicated members of civil society from across the globe.
