Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan has been released from Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) custody.
VDM was arrested by EFCC on Friday, May 2, after accompanying his mother to GTBank to investigate a series of alleged unauthorised withdrawals from her account.
Deji Adeyanju, the self acclaimed activist’s lawyer, confirmed his release on Wednesday evening through a post on X.
He wrote, “VDM released to us on bail. Special thanks to @DAPLawFirm especially the head of our firm @Marvin_Omorogbe. Thank you Nigerians for speaking up for him.”
“Thank you Egbon @YeleSowore. Thank you HE Peter Obi, Atiku Abubakar, Davido, opposition lawmakers, etc. I must also thank the chairman of EFCC for indulging and listening to all my concerns since on Friday last week and his team.
The struggle continues.”
EFCC on Tuesday, disclosed that VDM was arrested in response to several petitions from unidentified individuals who accused him of financial misconduct.
