Abuja (ChatnewsTV) — Vice President Kashim Shettima returned to Abuja on Sunday after successfully representing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the 79th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.
According to a statement released by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Communications, Stanley Nkwocha, Shettima delivered Nigeria’s National Statement during the General Debate and participated in multiple bilateral meetings and side events.
The Vice President’s representation at the high-level assembly underscored Nigeria’s commitment to global issues and diplomatic engagement on a wide range of topics. His discussions at the General Assembly covered international cooperation, economic development, and climate change, among other pressing matters.
Following his return, Vice President Shettima is expected to join President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for events marking Nigeria’s 64th Independence anniversary.
