Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, who recently declared a hiatus from the music scene, has unveiled his plans for the future—venturing into acting.
The Starboy boss disclosed his newfound career aspiration, expressing a desire to explore acting and engage in on-screen activities such as kissing scenes and gunplay. Wizkid shared this revelation through his Instagram story, where he wrote in Pidgin, “Shebi I tell una I one dey act film!…I just want dey kiss and shoot a gun for a movie. Daz all!!”
This revelation emerged shortly after Wizkid was spotted with renowned Nollywood filmmaker Kunle Afolayan, hinting at possible collaborations in the film industry.
In addition to his acting ambitions, Wizkid suggested the possibility of extending his break from music, changing his initial timeline. The ‘Essence’ crooner, who initially declared a three-to-four-year hiatus, now contemplates extending it to six years. On his Instagram story, Wizkid shared, “Loving every bit of this holiday. Might extend to six years.”
