A suspected internet fraudster, also known as a “Yahoo boy,” was recently apprehended by the FBI at JFK International Airport, USA, after defrauding the United States government of over $1.5 million in COVID-19 unemployment benefits.
The suspect, who had no knowledge that he was on the FBI’s watchlist, had recently applied for a visa to the USA. In a surprising turn of events, his visa application was granted with ease on his first attempt. He then proceeded to travel, unaware of the trap that awaited him.
Upon landing at JFK Airport, the FBI agents were already on the ground, waiting to arrest him. The arrest occurred without incident, and the suspect has since been taken into custody.
