ACCRA, Ghana (CHATNEWSTV) — Ghanaian-Nigerian actress Yvonne Okoro has revealed that she prefers Nigerian men over their Ghanaian counterparts, citing their romantic and generous nature.
In a recent episode of the Ghanaian TV show Showbiz 360 with fellow actor Majid Michel, Okoro explained that while Nigerian men are often associated with financial generosity, it is their affection and respect that truly attract her.
“Nigerian men or Ghanaian men? Nigerian men are better,” Okoro said. “I didn’t say Nigerian men because of money. That’s not the only thing. Money is there but love, affection is very important. Because if they give me money and there’s no love and they’re very disrespectful, I wouldn’t want that.”
The actress emphasized that her ideal man must offer “the whole package” — a blend of love, generosity, and respect. “I want everything,” she added.
Born in Tamale, Ghana, to a Nigerian father and Ghanaian mother, Okoro has gained popularity in both Nollywood and Ghollywood films, building a successful career across both industries.
