NDLEA Nabs 399 Kaduna-bound Explosives

No fewer than 399 pieces of improvised explosive devices (IEDs) have been intercepted by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) along Mokwa-Jebba road.

A statement on Sunday by the spokesman of the NDLEA Femi Babafemi said the IEDs were recovered from one Asana Oluwagbenga Leke, 39, during the operation on Thursday, September 7, 2023.

Meth, skunk consignments concealed in tomato pastes, clothes intercepted at airport.

In his statement, the suspect said the explosives were handed to him at a park in Ibadan to be delivered to someone in Kaduna.

“The suspect and exhibits have since been transferred to the military authorities in Niger State,” Babafemi said.

While commending the officers and men of the Agency for their balanced efforts in drug supply reduction and drug demand reduction activities, Chairman/Chief Executive of NDLEA, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Retd) urged them and their compatriots across the country to keep up the good work.
