One Dead, As BRT Bus Hits Mother and Children

In a devastating incident on Saturday, March 2, a BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) bus collided with a mother and her two children, resulting in the tragic death of one child. The mother and the surviving child were swiftly transported to the hospital for urgent medical treatment.

As news of the incident spread, tensions rose in the area, prompting the swift response of operatives from both the Ministry of Health and the Police. Their presence at the scene aimed to provide assistance and alleviate the distress among witnesses and affected individuals.

Eyewitnesses recount a harrowing scene, with the BRT driver allegedly fleeing the site with the bus after the collision, leaving behind a trail of shock and anguish.

The tragedy serves as a stark reminder of the importance of road safety measures and the need for accountability in public transportation systems. Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the accident are underway, with authorities committed to determining the cause and holding responsible parties to account.

Our thoughts and condolences go out to the family and loved ones of the child who lost their life in this heartbreaking incident. We urge authorities to expedite their inquiries and implement measures to prevent similar tragedies from occurring in the future.
