CAF Disciplinary Board Issues Sanctions Against Tanzania FA and Coach Adel Amrouche

The Confederation of African Football’s (CAF) Disciplinary Board has announced the outcomes of its investigation into the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) and Head Coach Adel Amrouche. The charges stemmed from comments and allegations made by Coach Amrouche in the media, which were deemed to have brought CAF into disrepute, particularly concerning the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF).

The Disciplinary Board, after careful consideration, found Coach Adel Amrouche guilty under Articles 82, 83, 84, and 131 of CAF’s Disciplinary Code. As a result, Coach Amrouche has been handed an eight-match suspension, a measure aimed at maintaining the integrity and sportsmanship of African football.

Additionally, the Tanzanian Football Federation has been slapped with a fine of USD 10,000. This financial penalty serves as a stern reminder of the responsibility that football federations bear in ensuring the conduct of their officials and representatives aligns with the values and regulations set forth by continental football authorities.

The sanctions underscore CAF’s commitment to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and fair play within the African football community. Such disciplinary actions are crucial in maintaining the credibility and reputation of the sport, ensuring that disputes and disagreements are addressed in a manner that preserves the integrity of the game.

The Tanzanian Football Federation and Coach Adel Amrouche now face the challenge of navigating the consequences of these sanctions. As they look ahead, it is imperative for all stakeholders in African football to prioritize sportsmanship, respectful communication, and adherence to the established codes of conduct to foster a positive and harmonious environment within the continent’s football landscape.
