The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, said it has commenced investigating the pre-recorded results sheet discovered in some polling units across Kogi State.
A civil society organisation, YIAGA Africa, had earlier raised concerns over the allocation of scores to political parties even before voting is concluded.
Some of the results sighted by our correspondent show the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Usman Ododo, purportedly getting the highest scores.
But the electoral umpire, in a terse statement on its X handle, said top officials of the commission deployed to the state have been directed to investigate the incidents.
The statement reads, “Our attention has been drawn to a report that filled result sheets were discovered in some polling units in Kogi State.
“The Commission views this situation seriously.
“Our senior officials deployed to the state are currently investigating the incident[s] The Commission will communicate its decision earnestly”.
