London Regent Street Evacuated Amid Bomb Threat Investigation

A busy shopping street in central London, Regent Street, was evacuated on Wednesday following a bomb threat linked to a suspicious vehicle, CHATNEWSTV reports, citing The Sun.

Footage from the scene shows a heavy police presence and a cordoned-off area as emergency services responded to the threat. Several nearby premises were evacuated as officers conducted their investigation.

In a statement, a Metropolitan Police spokesperson confirmed the incident: “Road closures are in place in the vicinity of Regent Street and New Burlington Street while officers investigate a suspicious vehicle. Officers have carried out a number of controlled explosions as a precautionary measure.”

Regent Street, adjacent to the renowned Oxford Street, is one of London’s busiest shopping districts, known for its flagship retail outlets and high foot traffic.
