President Tinubu Appoints Atiku Former Aide, Daniel Bwala As Special Adviser On Media

ABUJA (ChatnewsTV) — Nigerian President Bola Tinubu has appointed Daniel Bwala as the Special Adviser on Media and Public Communications at the State House, along with three other key appointments to lead various federal agencies. The announcement was made Thursday by Bayo Onanuga, the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy.

In addition to Bwala, President Tinubu named Olawale Olopade as the Director-General of the National Sports Commission, Dr. Abisoye Fagade as the Director-General of the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism, and Dr. Adebowale Adedokun as the Director-General of the Bureau of Public Procurement.

Bwala, a lawyer and respected public affairs analyst, takes on his new role as a communications strategist for the presidency. His appointment comes at a time when the Tinubu administration aims to strengthen its media presence and public outreach.

The newly appointed Director-General of the National Sports Commission, Olawale Olopade, brings a wealth of experience to the role. Olopade is a veteran sports administrator who previously served as the Commissioner of Youth and Sports in Ogun State. He was also the chairman of the Local Organising Committee for the 2024 National Sports Festival, which concluded successfully earlier this year.

Dr. Abisoye Fagade, the new head of the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism, has an extensive background in marketing communications. He is the founder and managing director of Sodium Brand Solutions, a firm specializing in brand development and marketing strategies.

Dr. Adebowale Adedokun, now leading the Bureau of Public Procurement, previously held the position of Director of Research, Training, and Strategic Planning within the same bureau. His promotion to Director-General reflects his longstanding involvement in public procurement policies and reform.

In the statement, President Tinubu urged the newly appointed officials to approach their responsibilities with “dedication, patriotism, and excellence.” He emphasized that their roles are critical to the administration’s broader goals of national development and improved governance.

“These appointments are a testament to our commitment to selecting experienced professionals who will contribute to the nation’s progress,” said Onanuga, highlighting the President’s expectations for impactful leadership in these key sectors.
