Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga is set to extend his stay at the Santiago Bernabeu as he has reportedly agreed to sign a six-year contract extension that includes a whopping €1billion release clause.

French midfielder Eduardo Camavinga has reportedly agreed to sign a six-year contract extension at Real Madrid, with the deal including a whopping €1billion release clause.

This comes amid reports revealing that both Vinicius Jr and Federico Valverde will sign new deals at the Santiago Bernabeu which will also include €1billion release clauses, as the Los Blancos look to be tying down their young stars’ futures at the club.

The latest on Camavinga was reported by football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who tweeted the details of the France international’s new deal on Thursday afternoon.

“Understand Eduardo Camavinga’s new deal at Real Madrid will be valid until June 2029 — and not 2028.” Romano wrote.

“Six year extension, salary improved and €1billion release clause.

“It’s all signed and sealed.”

Camavinga’s new deal comes following what would likely be considered his most impressive season in Spain to date – where he made 59 appearances for Real across all competitions, and helped the club towards a Copa del Rey, a UEFA Super Cup and a FIFA Club World Cup.

A midfielder naturally, the 20-year-old deputised in left-back on several occasions throughout the 2022/23 campaign, and turned out in the position in Los Blancos’ recent 3-2 Champions League win over Italian champions Napoli.

The youngster is undoubtedly set for a long and illustrious career at the top level of the game for both club and country, and securing his long term commitment in the Spanish capital will be considered a major coup among the Real Madrid hierarchy.
