Saudi Arabia Achieves Major Milestone with Successful Separation Surgery of Nigerian Conjoined Twins

RIYADH – Saudi Arabia has successfully completed the separation surgery of Nigerian conjoined twins, Hassana and Husaina. The complex procedure was carried out at the King Abdullah Specialist Children’s Hospital in Riyadh.

The twins, hailing from Kano, Nigeria, were born conjoined, a rare condition that occurs once in every 200,000 live births. The successful separation marks a significant milestone in Saudi Arabia’s medical history, demonstrating the nation’s advanced healthcare capabilities.
