Agency Report
The first Bundesliga deals of the January transfer window are beginning to take shape, with reports on Friday saying Borussia Dortmund winger Donyell Malen is being eyed by Aston Villa.
Widespread media in Europe said Villa are offering €18 million ($18.5 million) but Dortmund are said to be demanding at least €25 million.
The 25-year-old winger moved to Dortmund from PSV Eindhoven in 2021 and still has a contract until 2026. But he has struggled for game time under coach Nuri Sahin, who has criticized Malen for his attitude at times.
Business has been slow so far, although champions Bayer Leverkusen have already signed 18-year-old Argentinian striker Alejo Sarco from CA Vélez Sarsfield until 2029 as “a promise for the future,” according to sporting director Simon Rolfes late on Thursday.
Reports also say leaders Bayern Munich want to loan young defender Frans Krätzig to Heidenheim.
Bayern’s Krätzig, 21, has barely played while on loan at VfB Stuttgart so a move to Heidenheim for the rest of the season is being eyed, Sky and Bild reported.
Bayern playmaker Paul Wanner has seen success at the modest Bundesliga side this term.
Sky also said Heidenheim, a revelation in their maiden Bundesliga season before finding the going tougher this term, want to sign forward Budu Zivzivadze on loan from second division Karlsruhe.
