Renowned Hausa Singer Mother Kidnapped in Katsina State

Must read

Hajiya Halima Adamu, mother of the celebrated Hausa singer Dauda Adamu, widely known as Rarara, was kidnapped from her home in Kahutu village, Danja local government area of Katsina State.

According to a reliable source in the village, the abduction took place around 1 a.m. on Friday. The source detailed the incident, stating, “The bandits came on foot and silently because they did not fire a single shot during the operation that lasted for just a few minutes. The woman did not resist when the bandits requested her to go along with them.”

Despite encountering other residents in the house, the abductors solely focused on taking Hajiya Halima Adamu. “Although the bandits encountered other people in the house, they only took Rarara’s mother, leaving the others behind. There was no attempt to confront the bandits as they were armed,” the source added.

It is believed that the bandits left their motorcycles at a distance and trekked to the village to carry out the abduction. The villagers are fervently hoping for her safe return. “We are praying for her safe return because she is very important to us. Her son, Rarara, has been extremely generous and has brought numerous developments to our village,” the source expressed.

Efforts to reach Rarara for comments have been futile as his phone calls went unanswered. This incident adds to the growing insecurity challenges faced by Katsina State, which is among the states grappling with significant security issues in the North West region of Nigeria.
