Youths demands apology from senator Nwoye for referring to Arthur Eze as ‘man from Ukpo’

A Youth Leader in Dunukofia, the home town of Prince Arthur Eze and APC candidate for Anambra State House of Assembly Dunukofia Constituency in the last election has called on Senator Tony Nwoye to tender apologies to Prince Engr Arthur Eze for causally referencing Prince Arthur Eze as “a man from Ukpo” in his speech at the Anambra Town Hall meeting in Abuja.

Reacting to a video making round on the social media where the Senator representing Anambra North, Sen Tony Nwoye called Prince Engr Arthur Eze OFR, Ozoigbondu and his all time benefactor as ‘a man from Ukpo, a prince from Ukpo”, Hon Ilokolobia Cornel, the former National Youth Leader of Ukpo and Dunukofia ASATU Youth Mayor has called on the senator to quickly tender unreserved apologies to Prince Engr Arthur Eze, ndigbo and humanity.

In the video Sen Nwoye had casually called Prince Engr Arthur Eze ‘a man from Ukpo’ in the gathering of eminent personalities across Nigeria.

According the Youth Leader, Sen Nwoye erred for making such a casual reference to a man who has spent over ten billions in his political ambitions over time.

“It is common knowledge that twice Prince Arthur Eze spent billions of naira on election campaigns labouring to make Sen Nwoye Anambra Governor. On those two occasions ndi Anambra and Nigerians knew that Prince Arthur Eze’s resources were the backbone of Sen Nwoye before he eventually won House of Representatives seat and today Senate.” Ilokolobia stated

Going further the APC Candidate decried what he called bad market for the youth, “Sen Nwoye’s comment is bad market for the youths as many benevolent spirits and personalities will now have second thoughts before helping young people. Those words are tagged ingratitude and some persons could be led to think that if Prince Arthur Eze can be shown such who are they and why will they spend resources to build young persons around them ?”

Insisting that Sen Nwoye’s words were not respectful, Hon Ilokolobia Cornel promised to mobilize youths in Anambra State to protest and register their anger against Sen Nwoye within the next seven days if he fails to apologize to Prince Engr Arthur Eze.

Anambra Town Hall meeting was hosted by Governor Chukwuma Soludo last weekend.

Although Prince Arthur Eze was not present but a video in the media showed his former godson referencing him as a mere ‘man from Ukpo’ while addressing the audience.
